I couldn't be happier...

It's over. My first year at NCSA is finished. I come home on Thursday and couldn't be more excited.

Wow.

Who knew so much growth could happen in one year at college?

There have been many men. None of which have satisfied my appetite.

There have been many mistakes. All of which I have learned from.

The two previous statements basically go hand in hand.

Beaux Arts was fabulous. Holy shit. So glamorous.

I'm not gonna lie, I looked pretty hot.

I have to start packing and finish writing my play for tomorrow.

Wow, started work at camp this week. Although it can be tiring and a bit exhausting sometimes, I feel amazing being on a schedule again and ending each day with the feeling of accomplishment. My age group this year is 8 and 9 year olds. It is a totally different....interesting experience. I've made some awesome new friends and I'm really excited to see what the rest of the summer is going to bring.

Being at camp is feeding my college fix for one large reason: the unbelievable feeling of starting out fresh and meeting brand new people. Of course it is nothing like North Carolina will be, but the idea is there and giving me a thrill for the time being. There better be more cute boys than this in college though!

No matter how much work camp is, I still leave every day wanting to have children. YES! I'm having children to those of you whose eyes just bugged out of your heads. The beaming look on a child's face when he proudly presents his mother with his less than perfect work of art he made in art class is absolutely priceless.

Vogue has been real crappy for the past two or three months. Come on, Anna Wintour, lets pump out an amazing issue before I go off to college! Please, I beg of you. Oh and it has been disturbingly brought to my attention that Vogue has gotten rid of their horoscopes section. How lame.

I'm dirty and need a shower. Hope everyone is having the most fabulous summer of their lives!! :)

5 More Days of High School. Wow. I can't believe it.

NCSA sent my mother an e-mail this morning informing her that the scholarship committee has awarded me $1500 for Design and Production's talent based scholarship. In e-mail, they apologized that they couldn't have given me more money. In total, NCSA gave me a little over $11,000. I'm feelin real special right now because from what I have heard, incoming freshman rarely recieve this much money. This brought about my excitement for college again!!! YAY!!!!! COLLEGE!!!

"The boys are better at North Carolina School of the Arts"

If this statement that I paraded around today is untrue, I will throw myself off of a bridge.

Last theatre history test today!! Score!

One Acts go up a week from tomorrow. At first, I was a little worried, but now I am extremely confident in the work my actresses and I have produced. It is going to be fabulous. If you aren't already planning on attending, you should.

May 11, 2005. 7:30. Black Box. Ticket price is unknown thus far.

AP Lit Exam is on Thursday. HA! Thats funny!

I truly cannot believe how fast State flew by this year. Never in my four years of attending this conference can I ever remembering it going by so quickly. School was torture to sit through today. Another thing I cannot believe is that I actually dragged myself out of bed and went....late to second period.

State was simply fabulous this year. For some reason, I felt Work Crew ("The Blue Shirts!") were more appreciated than any other year. I actually went to the dance this year and had the best time thanks to Lindsey and my twirling dance partner. It was one of the highlights of the festival for me though.

I am sad to say that I am going to miss Work Crew. I have never and probably will never get to know such a great group of people and work in such a wonderful environment ever again.

RANDOM INTERJECTION: NCSA gave me a $10,575 financial aid award!!

Time to fill out some paperwork for college.

HAPPY EASTER!!

This spring beak has been fabulous!! Not only do I have my first professional stage management job as the Assistant Stage Manager for La Boheme at the Times Union Center, but I was also accepted into my SECOND college. Purchase University accepted me into their Fall 2005 Stage Management program. I'm still set on NCSA though, but it was just exhilirating to be accepted into my two top college choices. Ever since I was accepted into NCSA, I feel as if the world has been lifted off my shoulders.

What is even more thrilling is that all of my friends are starting to get (or already have) their acceptance letters as well. THAT is so fetch.

One week till State. Three weeks until Prom. Five weeks until Grad Night. Seven Weeks till Graduation.

Heck yeah!!

My schedule...finalized....kind of...

A1: Introduction to Design/Kline
A2: AP Lit/Harbin
A3: Theatre History/Higgins
A4: Ecology/Pegram

B1: Trigonometry/Floyd
B2: Directing II/Beger
B3: Economics Honors/AP Gov/Amin
B4: Experience/Harrison

Yes, folks, I have Ecology. Why? Because that was the only class I could take A4 instead of research. My schedule wouldn't budge otherwise. Maybe something will work out and I won't be in it anymore.

So who all is in my classes? Let me know.

I cannot believe we only have two days left of summer. That is absurd.

Bad news DA people. We're not getting schedules until orientation. I went to school yesterday to drop off a CD to Mr. Clayton and ran into Mrs. Kirkland. I asked her if there was any possible way I could get my schedule and she replied that they would not be mailing them out. The only reason some students were able to pick them up was because her new secretary was unaware that she wasn't allowed to give them out. She than said that they were still "not even ready."

Not even ready? What have these people been doing all summer?

Whatever. I'm glad that I know now instead of cluelessly waiting for it to come.

I get paid today at work. Thank God. One more week to go.

"Brani, we have to go, how would you feel if only one person showed up at your party?"

"Well, Johnny, that wouldn't happen because we're just too popular for that."

Haha!!!!! I about died laughing when Brani said that.

We had an adventure....a very...very...very...VERY scary adventure. It rocked my socks off!!

For those of you that don't know, I've neem working at the Jacksonville Jewish Center's Camp for two days now with Mallory Ramsey and Hillary Sandler, and Vanessa Richetti every Monday. The kids aren't THAT bad, but the heat makes it so much worse. We start at 8:45 in the morning and end at about 3:30. Sometimes I stay till than, but I'm only supposed to technically be on until 2. I'll be doing this for two weeks. Lord have mercy.

I miss many people that I haven't gotten a chance to hang out with, so call me.

All in all though, despite the babies, this summer rocks!! :)

School is OVER!!! SHIBBY!!! I never have to go through my junior year in high school ever again. And whats even greater is that I never have to take Acting C again!! The best part of it all though is that I am a SENIOR!!!!!!

This summer is going to be fabulous. My Mother is making me get a job, but I suppose it will be for the best. Money for clothes, which is always good.

Goals for the Summer:
1. The Double T: Toned and Tanned.
2. Buy TONS and TONS of clothes.
3. Choose a play for my student directed scene.
4. SLEEP!
5. Hang out with as many different people as possible.
6. SLEEP!
7. Summer Reading for school and my own personal reading.
8. SLEEP!
9. Make at least a trip to the beach every week in my hot new bathing suit.
10. And SLEEP some more! ;)

Prom was last night. Its over. I'm happy. It wasn't what I expected, but life happens.

My entire month of May is FREE! The only day I'm booked is May 17 for Graduation. 15 more days of school. I cannot WAIT for summer. Junior year was hell. Senior year BETTER be better.

I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with all of my free time, but I'm sure all of my friends will help me fix that problem.

After prom last night, we went to Walmart and Steak and Shake. I bought May's issue of Vogue, which I left in Jennifer's suburban. I want it back. I feel like reading it right now. The cover is a gorgeous portrait of Nicole Kidman. I can't wait to read it!

State went by too quickly. It is unbelievable. Yesterday I was getting on the bus to Tampa and now I am back home getting ready for school tomorrow. I'm glad to be home, but I do not wish to return back to school. I know I have piles and piles of make-up work waiting to devour my every waking hour. I missed all of my friends though. It is extremely sad that April has just begun and I already have more than half of the month booked. After May 1, I want to chill out and be worry-free. Odd request and doubtful, but I'm allowed to dream.

Despite the slight ick factor in my schedule and in life, everything seems to be going pretty well. I don't think I'll be updating for a while after this. I always like to post my schedule though. New York was amazing!!!! I have never had that much fun in my life!! Everything was incredibly large and extravagant. Nothing is tiny in New York. I can't believe it went by so quickly though. It seems like yesterday I just arrived...

The first day we arrived, we went to Times Square. That place is an adventure on it's own. Every store I had shopped in during my life suddenly had three stories. The Virgin Music Record Store was awesome!! They had nice deals on CDs too. I bought the Boy from Oz CD from them for only $15. Above the store, there was a huge advertisement for the fifth season of Sex and the City on DVD. Great stuff! All of the billboards in Times Square were enormously wonderful! I took tons of pics. My particular favorite was a large billboard of Sarah Jessica Parker advertising the premiere of the last 8 episodes of Sex and the City. The Broadway billboards were smashing!! Wicked had a nice ad. Times Square was absolutely perfect. There was a Starbucks at every corner. I loved it!!

We saw a total of six productions. Two off-broadway and four broadway. :) On Friday, we saw Taboo with Boy George sitting in the second row of the mezzanine. This show was magnificent!! Taboo was my second favorite show! Everything about this show was spectacular!!! Despite the fact that it is prohibited, I took a photograph of the set before and after the show. The next day, we saw my favorite broadway show as of now, The Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman. The Boy from Oz was ORGASMIC!!! I LOVE THIS MUSICAL!! There were two women who had to play Judy Garland and Liza Minelli. These two were incredibly amazing despite my previous doubts that no one could fill Judy or Liza's shoes. I bought a poster from it and listened to the CD for the rest of our stay there. After this wonderful event, we saw our first off-broadway show, The Thing About Men. This was really cute! It was done by the people who put on I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Great stuff. We had the chance to meet the cast as well after the show. The leading man was on Sex and the City and was a really cool guy to talk to. On Sunday, we saw Wonderfultown and Forbidden Broadway. Wonderfultown was EXTREMELY cute and had a great set (which I did not get a pic of), while Forbidden Broadway was hysterical!! Our last night there, the four of us saw Urinetown with Charles Shaugnessy as Mr. Cladwell. Urinetown was phenomenal!!! We had superior seats for all of these shows. We were no farther back than the 8th row for any show except Taboo. I loved Broadway and really want to return and see other musicals!! We were going to see if we could have gotten tickets for Wicked, but they were sold out until January 6, 2004. Broadway was all in all, completely fantastic!

Fifth Avenue felt like a glorious fantasy. All of the window displays were gorgeous and marvelous. I bought a shirt from Armani Exchange and had them wrap it in a sparkling box that looks simply grand. I went into Versace, Gucci, Chanel, Nine West, Burgdorf Goodman, Saks, Hugo Boss, Kenneth Cole, and many other designer name stores!! We stopped by FAO Schwartz and Tiffany's as well. Tiffany's was a wonderful blast of glamour from the moment you entered through the revolving doors.

As tourists, we had to attend some of New York's main attractions. The Statue of Liberty was breathtaking on the ferry. I snapped some great pictures of that. We dropped by the New York Stock Exchange and the big bull statue. I decided that we should just pass by ground zero quickly since it might be too emotional. Chinatown was such an adventure. Wow. Thats all I can say to describe it. One night, the four of us ate in a little place in Little Italy. Our group dropped by Rockfeller Center and Central Park. We took a subway from Grand Central station to Chinatown, which was loads of fun! I love the subway!! All of us also took a cab from fifth avenue to Times Square. Transportation was quite fun in New York. I did plenty of walking and had to lose some amount of weight, which is always nice.

New York was golden. I loved it and would love to go back some day. I brought home a ton of stuff though! Too bad one of my suitcases has to be delivered to my house because it didn't get on the plane. No biggie. However, I did make a huge deal about it at the airport and demanded that it be devilered ASAP. It should be here anywhere from 1-5 today. Wow, this was an extremely long entry. I don't update often, so I guess this makes up for it. Hope everyone has a magical holiday! :)

:::looks around::: Wow. Haven't been here in a while.

Directing Analysis and Acting lines were due last week. I have a free couple of minutes in my life. I figured, what the heck, update the LJ.

Midsummer opens this week and than it will be OVER!! Praise Jesus! I love the show, just not the crew. Rosencrantz auditions are next week and I am SOOO excited!! Susan, Britni, and I are meeting with Higgins on Wednesday to discuss what is going to happen at auditions. :)

School is difficult. I'm beginning to detest it. My trip to New York is next month and I will finally get my license.

District Festival money is due next week. By than, I'll know who my actors are and which scene I'm taking. I am absolutely ecstatic!!

I saw The Matrix Revolutions last night with Mat and Tom. WOW!!! I thought I would hate it because of many reasons. First of all, I haven't seen the first and second one and second, those kind of movies don't thrill me. This move was AMAZING though!! I LOVED it!! I loved it SO much that I'm seeing it again with Ian on Tuesday night after rehearsal.

This year is different. Really different. I like it though. :)

Just arrived home from an eventful week. Lots of stuff happened, both good and bad. School is bam, wow, oh my god. Basically.

My directing class FINALLY had the opportunity to actually get up and do things. We were able to create pictures of certain things, aka statues. I was in a group with Patrick, Josh, Lindsey, Cory, and Alex. It was a pretty good group and Doc seemed to be fond of all of the pictures we created. She made fun of my Spongebob shirt though, but its all cool. I'm glad we're up interacting and experiencing things now.

Acting has been getting a LITTLE better and I can withstand it more now. I'm SLOWLY getting better, which is good. Doc said I must embrace the small steps I make and that is what I'm doing. The exercises and games we're playing are benefiting me and I'm glad about that. Hopefully, I can become decent by the end of the year.

I was put on Prop Crew for A Midsummer Night's Dream. I'm excited about that.

Yearbook pictures were on Tuesday. Those were okay, I suppose. I called Barnes and Noble as well that day and they said that the manager was out of town, but they will put my application with a note on his desk immediately. I'm calling back tomorrow to check it's status. I really want this job. How great would it be to work at Barnes and Noble?

Prom Committee Meeting on Thursday. It went well, but I am getting nervous. I want to throw a phenomenal, unforgettable, shocking, oh my god I can't believe this kind of prom. I desperately hope I can do that. The group is great though, so that gives me some hope. Student Government Meeting was today. Wow. Thats all that can describe it. Whoa and Wow and possibly jeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzz.

Showtime today. BAM!!!!! Being crammed in like sardines, HOW FUN!!! I was with Eunice. She made it bearable by laughing at everything possible. I know now why showtimes STOPPED happening.

Work Crew Fun Day tomorrow. To the movies to see Seabiscuit and than off to lunch at TGI Fridays. Oh yes, who could forget the pleathera of homework that my teachers generously offered me this weekend? This is my first update in a while. :::shruggs::: Lala...off to watch Dynasty.
